Today i went around the town to run some errands. Meeting Azreen for a quick breakkie, then deliver fruits to my granpa and then went to Plaza Merdeka to cash out (I dunno the accurate term for this!) my internship moneh and lunch of course. Too bad, the bank closed and it's weird to see the door locked, on a weekday and at office hours. So i had to postpone the ceremony to tomorrow hu.
I went to McD, ordered the grand spicy mchicken bla bla and it was nice. But i miss prosperity more. Ate alone, watching young kids trying to fit in the society. I smiled, i gasped because went thru the phase before and here I am. Man, i can be that philosophic when I'm alone kan?
Then, the meja next to me was a child and his mom. I smiled at them cause they stared at me for, yeah eating alone. Hehe. They left the table, and normal la ingat dah habis makan. So, the pekerja went to the table and cleared everything up. Suddenly, both of them asked me, "Daknya dah bersihkan makanan tok tek?" and I said "Aok, kenak tek kak?" I thought both of them done with their lunch. Then the anak, "maaa kmk still maok makan fries ya". He went around searching for his fries. From my raw judgement, they're from not well off family and seldomly eat there. I went pity to the kid and offered my fries to them. The mum thanked me and just say nevermind. Then I asked, "Ktk duak jak tek kak? Ktk dari sine?" She answered " Aok, embak anak mek berjalan, cuti sekolah, jalan kaki dr kampung tek". I nodded and smiled. Minutes later, McD staff gave them a packet of fries and I saw the kid's eye shone brightly as if he got a gold from Midas. I clapped my hand and cheered for them. The conversation happened during heavy downpour and yet they still smiled at me happily before leaving not thinking about how bad the journey home will be later on. They left with a pack of fries in his grasp. Jalan kaki, hujan, hujan lebat. How?
See. The way other people treats something that some of us taken for granted in life. The scene was simple, but I still remember how the mother and son ate fries, happily, immersed in their moment together as a family. Grateful and happy.
