period?

Assalamualaikum.
Hey people!Wassup.
I just knew the meaning of PERIOD that people always mention at the end of sentences (not about that monthly period menses ok). People especially in those quote twitters i follow always mention ::

"That show was the best show ever!Period"

"I'm really2 pissed!Period!"

Ok, so curious like a cat, i googled. I found out that Period (punctuation wise) has the same meaning with Fullstop or BM nye Noktah. This > . dot here. Interesting. Hehe. The difference is only that the usage of Period is profoundly use in American English and Fullstop is use in British English.
